37. Motherhood: My Greatest Growth Opportunity... Four Ways to Find Contentment in this Season

Motherhood has been the greatest growth opportunity for me and has been filled with high highs and low lows. I've always wanted to be a mom and yet I also always felt like I didn't get the same “mom gene” that others have.

My hope for you is as you leave this episode, you feel less alone in motherhood, that your soul is refreshed by the idea that you can thrive in this season, not just survive. That you actually have a choice on what thoughts you let settle in and how you feel as you move through motherhood and that every thought and feeling is meant to be explored, unpacked and learned from, not pushed out that you don't have to mask how you are feeling, hiding these pieces of you in fear of what others will think of you for thinking these thoughts.

This is your permission to say these things out loud to others, I can guarantee they will lose their power, and others will appreciate and relate to your vulnerability. You get to decide to shift your thought pattern if it's no longer serving you. Because I can promise that when you start to intentionally work through this mind drama, your beliefs and your behaviors will shift to a place that serves you better in motherhood and life.

In this episode I give you 4 practices that are supporting me to find contentment in this season and I leave you with 4 powerful questions to reflect & take action!

  1. What are you grateful for in this season?
  2. What are you proud of in this season?
  3. How can you prioritize yourself right now?
  4. Who can you lean into for support?
